Kevin and Sheila Jamieson immigrated to Palm Harbor, Florida from the UK in 1992 and founded Royal Maid Service. Within two years the business had grown so quickly there was a need to open a second location to cope with demand. After twenty years Royal Maid Service is the largest cleaning company in Florida with more locations than any other service. In 2006 Royal Maid Enterprises went national operating as Regal Maid Service throughout the rest of the US while remaining as Royal Maid Service in Florida.

The success of Royal Maid Enterprises is due in no small part to the skills of the co founder, Sheila Jamieson, a successful entrepreneur who ran her own design company for many years.  As the mother of three boys she learned all about home cleaning with years of practical experience and her background in interior design has given her an intimate knowledge of how people feel about their home furniture and furnishings. Royal Maid Enterprises has developed a unique cleaning concept that combines the team cleaning system, used by the majority of professional maid services, with the idea that we clean homes not houses. This philosophy identifies the home as an extension of the owner allowing the performance of the cleaning team to more readily meet the expectations of the client.

Underpinning this whole idea is the Royal Maid practice of personal in-home estimates where the home owner can discuss at length their particular needs. Countless surveys over years of research have shown that homeowners want a customized service for their home rather than a standardized system that does not cater to the requirements of the individual home.  This attention to detail has put Royal Maid Enterprises at the forefront of the residential cleaning industry.
